One of China's richest people and top dog businessman, Jack Ma, has a classic rags-to-riches story. He grew up with little money, failed his college entrance exams twice, and was rejected by many jobs, even KFC, before finding luck in an English teacher position. All of his misfortunes further drove his ambitions as he would go on to co-found the closest thing Amazon has to a rival, Alibaba, the prestige e-commerce and virtual payment company that transformed the way China spends their money and shops.

These are only brief descriptions of scenes captured by the magnum photographer Elliot Erwitt, and I was fortunate to observe some of his work this week at the Jackson Fine Art gallery on a Thursday morning, in Midtown, Atlanta.
