Actress, comedian, producer, writer, and now history-maker Quinta Brunson is a woman who knows what she wants and how to get it.

The public art program, ELEVATE ATL is bringing queer art out in the open with its new four-week-long festival event, “OPEN SPACES.”

Running from September 16th to October 9th, OPEN SPACES will feature unique and talented artists, dancers, and musicians in a lineup of art exhibits, festivals, and shows. Each of these events will emphasize inclusivity as well as exploring "some of Atlanta's most interesting and beautiful spaces this fall," said Executive Director of the Atlanta Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, Camille Russell Love, in an article for the Reporter Newspaper

Sergi Cadenas is a self-taught artist from the Northern Catalonian region of Spain. He was exposed to artistic inspirations from the day he was born. Landscapes such as the Pyrenees Mountains and sceneries like the historic Gothic Quarter are only a fraction of the visual elements presented to him on a daily basis. He began his journey as an artist at just 15 years old while working under his father in the family business. Ferros d’art Cadenas, their family blacksmith business was passed down to him by his father and it is still in business today.

At the Masquerade in Atlanta, Heaven, one of three rooms housed in the popular venue is packed from the front of the stage to the sound box toward the back of the room. It's hot as hell, and the whole room smells like sweat and cheap beer—the perfect making for New Found Glory's Pop Punk's Not Dead Tour.

After the pop-punk opening acts Man Overboard, This Time Next Year, and Set Your Goals to finish their performances, the room empties, and people scatter in different directions in search of bathrooms, smoke breaks, and more beer. After about ten minutes, the anticipation begins. The room is quickly filling up with people migrating closer and closer to the stage.
