Of all those organ donations and transplants in America, over half of those procedures are performed on African Americans. Located at the Albany State University Fine Arts Center in Albany, Georgia, the African American Organ Transplantation Project displays a one-of-a-kind photography exhibit with photographs of African American recipients, donors and family members of deceased organ donors.
