What started as one man’s mission to make high-art/decor affordable to a mass market is now a national brand dedicated to independent artwork and showcasing outstanding work by big-name artists.

Martin Lawrence Galleries (MLG) has nine locations across the U.S. They’ve hosted notable works by legacy artists such as American pop artist Andy Warhol, post-impressionist Pablo Picasso, and neo-expressionist Jean-Michel Basquiat, to name a few.

The Out of Africa art galleries are a great way to expose other countries to the influence of contemporary African artists. African culture has strong roots in modern culture all over the world, and contemporary art is no different. By allowing other countries to explore and appreciate modern-day African art and artists, Out of Africa continues to educate art collectors on the cultural impact of African artists.

The Power of Retrospective

A couple in a convertible facing the horizon.

A band of young trumpeters crossing the road.

A girl and a man walking toward a foggy footpath.

These are only brief descriptions of scenes captured by the magnum photographer Elliot Erwitt, and I was fortunate to observe some of his work this week at the Jackson Fine Art gallery on a Thursday morning, in Midtown, Atlanta.
