Javier Rey: Ecstasy in Art

Art often expresses human emotion, feelings and expressions in ways that make speculators think, process, and feel the art through their own lenses or interpretations. Sexuality is often portrayed in art, however, a significant amount of art for years has mainly focused on female sexuality and the exploration of female anatomy. For Colombian artist Javier Rey, the focus is shifted onto the sensuality of the male body,  nature and urban cities.

Salvatore Garau: Intangible Artwork

Maybe you’re familiar with the story of the emperor’s new clothes, but have you come across the tale of the emperor’s new sculpture? The story goes like this: In 2021, an Italian artist sold a sculpture titled “Lo Sono” for over $18,000 – a steep selling price, but hardly their record price at auction. The catch is “Lo Sono” is an invisible sculpture. It does not exist in space.

Omar Aguirre: Designing “Manhatoon”

For many, cartoons are either goofy animated slapsticks or satirical doodles one might find in the newspaper. But for designer Omar Aguirre, cartoons are a means of expressing love for New York City – the city of dreams and good food.  

Aguirre is a senior designer for Marchon Eyewear, one of the largest eyewear manufacturers in the world. The designer is best known for his designs in eyewear and footwear and he’s collaborated with brands such as Nike and Converse creating unique fashion designs.

Graffiti art is everywhere. Some of the most fascinating graffiti lives on the sides of buildings, in abandoned warehouses, on bridges or tucked away in an alley plastered on a nook that can be seen only with peripheral vision. That graffiti, when spotted, makes the drive home suddenly more interesting than the ride the day before.
