Fashion and sculpture have always sat at two ends of the visual arts spectrum, both held in high esteem, but typically considered mutually exclusive mediums. Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta have recently broken this unspoken rule with their fashion company Eckhaus Latta. Eckhaus Latta is a high-end, recycled clothing brand that was founded by the pair in 2011, first debuting in Spring 2013.

You might remember the iconic moment at the 2014 Grammy Awards where 33 couples got married by Queen Latifah during the Macklemore and Madonna’s performance of “Same Love.” Two of the men were sporting all-white suits as they married each other on television. Denma Gvasalia is an esteemed name in the fashion world. Working originally with Maison Margiela and Louis Vuitton, and later becoming the creative director for Balenciaga, Gvasalia has garnered quite a name for himself over the years. However, of his contributions to the fashion world, the most important might be Vetements, a brand known for subverting fashion expectations and taking streetwear in a new direction. He co-founded the brand with his brother Guram Gvaslia in 2014, with Guram as the CEO, and Denma as the creative director.
