Noah Lyles: The Year of 4 Gold

Lined up with seven other racers and having a slow start, he quickly surpassed the three others ahead of him, winning the Boston World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold’s 60 meters by 0.01 seconds. At just 26-years-old, Noah Lyles holds an Olympic bronze medal, six world titles, and four Diamond League Final trophies.

Lyles was originally a gymnast, but at age 12, he decided that he wanted to pursue a career in track instead. He attended T.C. Williams (now Alexandria City) High in Alexandria, VA, and after graduating was set to join the track team at University of Florida. Ultimately, he did not end up going to college, but instead signed with his current team and began his pursuit into the Olympic Games.

Jelly Roll: Success on the Other Side

Standing on stage at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, an unlikely country star with a unique rise to the top delivered one of the most inspirational speeches of 2023. Country artist Jelly Roll who has been named “New Artist of the Year” at the 2023 CMA awards, accepted his award with teary eyes and a message. 

“There is something poetic about a 39-year-old man winning ‘New Artist of the Year.’ I don’t know where you’re at in life, or what you’re going through, but I want to tell you to keep going. I want to tell you success is on the other side. I want to tell you it’s gonna be okay. I want to tell you that the windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror for a reason because what’s in front of you is so much more important than what’s behind you,” Jelly Roll said as he accepted his award.

Anne Isabella: Psychedelic Designs

It’s Paris Fashion Week and the runway is overtaken by vibrant pieces with quasi-psychedelic swirls and dresses with striped colors that merge together to create a ripple effect. These pieces that have captivated the attention of fashion junkies are part of Anne Isabella’s latest collection.

Berlin based designer Anne Rasmussen, the name behind the brand, graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2018 and received a Bachelors in Fashion Print and Masters in Womenswear. During the 2 years following graduation, she gained design experience under the likes of Jil Sander, Kenzo, and Courreges. In 2023, she was nominated as a semifinalist for the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.
