The story goes like this: In 2021, an Italian artist sold a sculpture titled “Lo Sono” for over $18,000 – a steep selling price, but hardly their record price at auction. The catch is “Lo Sono” is an invisible sculpture. It does not exist in space.

Megan Piphus Peace: Diversity through Ventriloquism 

Since 1969, the educational television program Sesame Street has been playing on TVs in the homes of people all over the world. Since the start of the program, there have been several segments reflecting cultural diversity, early childhood education, and children’s behavioral, emotional, and social skills. The show has been celebrated for years for its ability to teach children how to manage conflict in non-aggressive ways in order to understand the perspective of their peers, which has been an influential factor in the television show’s longevity. 

Sesame Street is a show that has changed and adapted with the times, and there are constantly new characters being portrayed to show diversity on the show. For example, the show features different neurodivergent characters like “Jason,” a character with Down syndrome, and “Julia,” a character with autism.

Taking Meds: Over-The-Counter Drugs for Your Ears

It isn’t easy to find out much about the band Taking Meds. It seems like besides concert dates and streaming portals featuring their music - the band members prefer to keep a low profile.

However, naturally some questions such as “Why did they choose that band name?” or “What is the story behind the group?” pop up. For a decade Taking Meds produced a mixture between rock and punk with pieces of indie and elements of deep and depressing pathos.

Omar Aguirre: Designing “Manhatoon”

For many, cartoons are either goofy animated slapsticks or satirical doodles one might find in the newspaper. But for designer Omar Aguirre, cartoons are a means of expressing love for New York City – the city of dreams and good food.  

Aguirre is a senior designer for Marchon Eyewear, one of the largest eyewear manufacturers in the world. The designer is best known for his designs in eyewear and footwear and he’s collaborated with brands such as Nike and Converse creating unique fashion designs.
