Oversaturation in content overwhelms us from every angle. There are endless new television shows on Netflix, an endless cycle of posts on social media, and music isn’t an exception to this. Streaming services like Spotify contain so much music, from so many genres and artists, and the subgenre of indie rock isn’t a new concept or trend; it reached its heyday in the 2000s. So who are the voices behind its continuation? Wild Pink is one of these groups, building off the rock and indie rock of years past to form their own sound and forge positive connections with their sound.

You may remember Tasha Smith from Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married,” where she played the infamous boisterous, “tell it like it is,” loud-mouth character, “Angela.” Some might say the Camden, New Jersey native might’ve played the role a little too well. Keen on always being authentic to her roots, her multitudinal roles as a relatable black woman seemed to resonate deeply with her audience. Her willingness to convey the truths and experiences that she knows has fronted her passageway through Hollywood as a comedian, actress, acting coach and most recently it has planted her a seat in the director’s chair.

Although they ran the name under KCUFTHEPOPULATION to avoid these problems at their high school, administrators still sent out an automated phone message to students informing them that wearing any FTP would result in consequences.

When two giants collide, you can bet I want a front-row seat! Well, kind of a front-row seat. I’ll settle for close enough to the action where I can feel like I’m right there, but far enough away that I can’t become a casualty. So in front of my living room TV was the perfect location for me to catch Godzilla vs. Kong last week. Although there was a lot going on with the socially distant Easter celebrations with the fam and friends, I still made it my business to catch the blockbuster.
