Johnny Crawford: The Perfect Gift

Organ donations are far and few, and those who need them can be waiting years to receive the life-saving surgery. Of all those organ donations and transplants in America, over half of those procedures are performed on African Americans. Located at the Albany State University Fine Arts Center in Albany, Georgia, the African American Organ Transplantation Project displays a one-of-a-kind photography exhibit with photographs of African American recipients, donors and family members of deceased organ donors.

Chen Peng and his fashion label Shang Hai Xuan Peng Trading Co. Hip Hop DNA: Celebrating 50 Years

As listeners turn on their car radio, plug in their earphones or connect to their speakers, the faint sound of spray paint softly alludes and the voice of Ebro Darden is soon to be heard. 

Darden, an American radio personality and Global Editorial Head of hip hop and R&B for Apple Music, recently began a new journey as host of the Apple Music podcast “Hip Hop DNA.” It is a multi-series podcast that focuses on the core of hip-hop, taking a deep dive into the roots of the music genre. As hip-hop celebrates its 50th anniversary as a musical genre, the podcast is honoring hip-hop by bringing on several well-known hip-hop artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, Cardi B, and Beastie Boys.
