Despite a weekend filled with unpredictable weather, Music Midtown’s diverse lineup of artists brought good vibes to Atlanta all weekend as festival-goers danced to their heart’s content, rain or shine. 

The weekend started strong on Friday, September 15th as the gates of the festival opened at 5 p.m., letting in a flood of fans rushing to land the closest spots possible to watch their favorite artists perform. While the festival had four stages built, Friday’s artists only utilized two of the stages to kickstart the fest.

Art critic Hilton Hamer once commented on Photographer Evelyn Hofer referring to her as “the most famous unknown photographer in America,” a title that seems to capture her whole artistic career. 

She is like a lonely explorer, catching unique pieces of memories belonging to cities in her photographs. Today, 14 years after her death, we can still feel a sense of transcendence and timelessness while viewing her work.
