Twenty-year-old indie-pop musician Arlo Parks has never been one to hide behind her voice; while her music speaks for itself, she doesn’t let it do all the talking for her. Anaïs Oluwatoyin Estelle Marinho, better known as Arlo Parks, an up-and-coming London singer-songwriter is bold in every way. She’s open about herself, active on social media, and an overall force to be reckoned with.

West London might be home for Parks, but her first language was French, due to her Paris-born mother. Parks is half Nigerian, a quarter French, and a quarter Chadian, and as she described herself to Billboard, “I'm a Black kid who can't dance for shit, listens to emo music and currently has a crush on some girl in my Spanish class.”
