Often times we see artists who fit their genre to a T, but others can traverse outside of their set style and take up various sounds at once. The South African band BLK JKS can not be pinned down to just one genre, as they capture the mixed sounds of punk, rock, African soul, and jazz in their impressive discography. After a 12-year-long hiatus, the band has returned with their highly-anticipated sophomore album, “Abantu/ About Humans.”
