After 57 years of curating to white American culture, fashion company Ralph Lauren has named their first ever Black Creative Director, Design & Brand Direction for Men’s Polo, a move that could change the brand’s image for years to come.

James M. Jeter is a 2013 graduate of Morehouse College, who studied English language and literature. He began working at Ralph Lauren as a Rugby Sales Associate in 2008 and then later worked as a Concept Design intern in 2013.
