Strange, interesting, modern and stylish are words used to describe Russian Photographer Oleg Dou. A native of Moscow, this international artist brings a fresh perspective to the art scene. What message is the artist trying to convey, while using these strange images? That answer is simple: individuality. “I have always been interested in human individuality and self-expression,” explained Dou on his Art Limited portfolio site. He is the winner of an International Color Photograph of the Year Award (for his “Paper 2” illustration), an International Photography Photographer of the Year Award (in fine arts), and an Arte Laguna Art prize for Best Young Photographer (for his painting “Ira's Tears”). It’s obvious that Dou’s individuality is certainly paying off.
