In his early childhood years, Sculptor Mike Leavitt spent his time learning about graphic design and engineering. Raised in Seattle, WA his interest in art came from his parents. Another factor that sparked Leavitt's fascination for art was the Native American Scandinavian woodcraft, wooden figures that replicates important Native American figures of the Scandinavian tribe. The structure of the wooden carvings made the figures look spot-on.

When it came to changing his career choice, Patrick Ta never let fear get in the way of achieving his dreams as a makeup artist. Before his time in the spotlight, Patrick naturally gravitated towards makeup due to its ability to raise self-confidence.

He lived in a common household where materialistic things weren’t very important. During his adolescent years, the artist dealt with issues regarding his weight and identity. As an Asian American, Ta continuously struggled under the pressure of being different from his peers and classmates.
