“It’s not abstraction with a big ‘A.’ But even the most abstract things have some reference,” Loie Hollowell told Flaunt Magazine when describing her art that falls somewhere between abstract, realism, or modernism. The artist focuses on themes such as sex, pregnancy, postpartum, and the dynamic between her mind and her body. “So I view my works as body landscapes through the language of minimizing forms to a more symbolic space,” Hollowell explained to Flaunt.

Claud Mintz, whose professional name is simply Claud, is a nonbinary musician from New York (and uses they/them pronouns), has blown up in the bedroom pop (where artists typically record in their room rather than a recording studio) and indie music world.

We’ve all seen our fair share of graffiti while traversing the unique layouts of our own individual cities in which we reside. Personally, my experience with graffiti is with the city closest to home, Atlanta, largely tagged with various forms of graffiti – whether it be a full wall mural or something as simple as the letters “ATL” spray-painted alongside an overpass. This intriguing art form can serve many purposes, stemming from a movement, a way to communicate, or simply to amaze.
