Hot dogs are often a symbol of childhood, reminiscent of summer days by the pool or out with friends and family at a baseball game. But that’s not all they represent; for fourteen-year-old Mason Wright, hot dogs are a way of making a dream come true.
Fashion is one of the key ways we express ourselves. Grunge, goth, athletic, preppy it's the easiest and most recognizable way to tell the world what we want them to see. It would make sense that fashion designers would be held in such high esteem. Even more so fashion designers who specialize in creating designs for major life milestones. Artists must fight on their own to promote mental healthcare and promote awareness, as the world around them seems to ignore it in favor of the work they produce. One of these artists is Shanina Dionna, a Philadelphia based artist who works in education and mental health awareness.
Music full of heart should be the norm, but turn on any pop radio station, and all you hear is soulless repetition from the same artists; popular music doesn’t have to be soulless, and neither do popular creators. San Antonio based musician Xavier Omär puts his heart, soul, and beliefs into his music, reinventing how faith and love can be put into song.
