It’s not everyday you find a fashion designer that hails from Durham, Connecticut, but this small town native has made his way to New York City. Known for his classy, sophisticated and timeless designs, it’s hard to imagine him living anywhere else but America’s fashion mecca. Matching the drive of the city that never sleeps, fashion designer B Michael, more affectionately known as B, stays busy dressing up some of Hollywood’s most renowned divas. “I love to know that I design for women that have an agenda,” he told the Grio, a news community for African Americans. “[M]any of the women who wear my clothing are very powerful in terms of running their own businesses, or sitting on boards, or doing great philanthropic work.”
