J.Q. Franklin, of Indianapolis, Indiana is the founder of Visionary Artistry. He relocated to Atlanta after graduating from Tuskegee University in 2004. The best word to describe J.Q. is an “Artpreneur,” he began painting and drawing as an adolescent, and his passion for the arts inspired him to build a full service company called Visionary Artistry, focused on enhancing the lives and showcasing the work of underground artists. Visionary Artistry is comprised of five entities: Va Foundation, Va Courier Express, Va Mag, Va Media Group and Va Retail.
J.Q. founded Va Mag first, and the company made its debut in June 2010, with one laptop, and two staff members: J.Q. and his sister Jaya Franklin. He shared his vision for the online magazine with Jaya and the end result is an online arts publication, that serves as a reference tool and a platform for creatives.
